Quickie Book Review – Complicated Girl by Mimi Strong

Complicated GirlComplicated Girl by Mimi Strong

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Adore this book! Loved Meanie and all of her quirky issues. Mimi Strong has done it again with this series. Her humor, insights into human nature, and her ability to knit together a fabulous cast of characters has made Strong my go-to author these days. I would literally pick up anything by her, even a dystopian novel about space rabies.

Quickie Book Review – Blue Roses by Mimi Strong

Blue RosesBlue Roses by Mimi Strong

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a sweet, sexy, and at times hilarious start to a new series. It comes with the typical Mimi wit I’ve come to love (and expect- so keep that up!) and interesting characters. IS there spice, yes… but perhaps not as heated as other books by Strong.

On a side note, I would love to read a novel that focuses on Rory (the best friend- I’m horrible with names) because she’s such a quirky character. You hear me Mimi?

**On a side note, I don’t think this book is available as a stand-alone novel currently. It’s part of a box set of several novels being release shortly, I believe.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Great mini series with a fabulous cast of characters, interesting (ahem) scenarios and that terrific humor that I’ve come to expect with Ms. Strong’s works.

If you love her other books, you’ll like this compelling collection as well!

Quickie Book Review – Two to Tango by Mimi Strong

Two to TangoTwo to Tango by Mimi Strong

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It’s beginning to become a pattern… Ms. Strong writes book after book that I just fall into and love. This one was no different. Her characters are complex and uber-well done. In fact, it’s one of my favorite things about the stories Strong concocts. Her cast, her peeps– they feel so *real*. In fact, she tends to give them at least one skeleton-in-the-closet, which makes for very memorable moments and people.

I adore Strong’s humor and biting wit, and that gal can sure turn out a five-alarm steamy scene like no one’s business. If you like your heroine’s imperfect & witty , you’re love stories blazing, and the hunks complex and surprising, then any of Ms. Strong’s books will fit the bill perfectly. You can always start with Tango… it won’t disappoint!

Quickie Book Review – Starfire by Mimi Strong (Peaches Monroe series #3)

Starfire (Peaches Monroe, #3)Starfire by Mimi Strong

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love, love, love this series… and even though this last book brought things to an end, I can’t think of a better close-of-a-series. The heat level is right up there with solar flares and nuclear explosions, the dialog is always pitch perfect, and the supporting cast of characters are my kind of people.

Ms. Strong is one helluva writer and this is her best series of books yet.

So, what did I love about the main character, Peaches? Her wit, her snark, her laugh-your-pants-till-you-pee take on life and love(s). If Peaches Monroe were a real person, I’d be some sort of stalker-fangirl. With that said, if Ms. Strong writes any more books that are as stellar, blazing-hot and fabulous as the Peaches Monroe series, I can see her gaining (more) stalker-fangirl’s in the very near future. (The quiet, non-threatening kind, of course.)

Quickie Book Review – Starlight by Mimi Strong (Peaches Monroe #2)

Starlight (Peaches Monroe, #2)Starlight by Mimi Strong

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’ve literally started this review several times, because I want to find the perfect words to describe how I feel about this book (and the Peaches Monroe series in general). Amazeballs. Fan-flipping-tastic. Unforgettably witty and sassy. Pitch Perfect.

Funnier than a well-placed punch in the… well, never mind.

Hotter than a private party with Eric Northman, Christian Grey and that Magic Mike guy 🙂 And maybe a little Jax Teller for dessert.

Peaches & Dalton. Peaches & Keith. (And Mitchell! Lurve him, yes I do!)

Since I’ve irritated even myself with this review, you’ll just have to go read the book(s). And if you don’t love Peaches Monroe as much as I do… well, then you just suck 🙂

Quickie Book Review – For You by Mimi Strong

For YouFor You by Mimi Strong

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lovely romance with a smidgen of mystery and suspense. I love the characters, even with their flaws and baggage. Well-written and original. Fans of Beautiful Disaster should love this book.

FYI: I’ve read other books by Mimi Strong (most recently Stardust– which I freakin’ loved!) so I’m beginning to feel a little bit fan-girl stalkerish 🙂

Quickie Book Review – We Are Made of Stardust by Mimi Strong

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fan-freaking-tabulous! I loved this book so much I wanna take it out for a drunken night on the town, then bring it home for hours of wicked debauchery.

Seriously though, it’s been a while since I’ve fallen so deeply into a book. The writing is out of this world, and the cast of characters so fleshed out I feel like I *know* these people. Complex, layered, witty.  And so damn hot that I almost melted my ereader a few times.

Can’t wait ’till the next one! Seriously, Ms. Strong… write faster please!

Hot New Release – We Are Made of Stardust (Peaches Monroe #1) by Mimi Strong

Check out this hot new release by Bestselling author Mimi Strong! I’ve seen Mimi around a few writer’s boards and on Facebook, etc. and she’s such a fabulous person. That, and a kick-ass writer too!

She’s a sassy bookstore manager, he’s a famous actor. This Notting Hill-inspired New Adult romance is outrageous, funny, and full of sex, sex, sex.

Peaches Monroe, age 22, is a plus-sized beauty who spends quiet days with books, in the small town of Beaverdale, Washington.

One Saturday afternoon, she’s balancing precariously on a chair, in a bridesmaid dress, when a handsome dark-haired man comes running into the bookstore. He knocks Peaches over, she lands in his muscular arms, they lock gazes, and …

She recognizes him.

As the sexy vampire heartthrob she watches on TV every week.

Peaches and Dalton Deangelo are completely wrong for each other. He’s only in town temporarily, working on an indie movie. She should stay away before she gets burned. He should stay away, too, before he opens up and shares all his secrets.

But they’re drawn to each other. Dalton claims it’s because they’re made from the same stardust. He says a lot of dramatic things, but it’s his carbohydrate-free perfect body and sexy touch that turns Peaches to Jell-O.

Will they be able to make it as a couple? How can a hot, famous actor like Dalton Deangelo be interested in a regular girl, much less a big girl, like Peaches Monroe? What’s the press going to say when they find out?

Genre: NEW ADULT ROMANCE / Contemporary Romance / Erotic Romance / Ages 17+

**WARNING: This book is chock-full of enthusiastic sex, ranging from OH-NO-SHE-DIDN’T awkward to I-NEED-A-SHOWER-NOW hot. **
